ABOUT US

Michael (2).jpg
  • Hi, I'm Jenn. After graduating from the school for wild women in South Hadley, Massachusetts (Mount Holyoke College), I began my career as a young consultant helping big pharma make more money. Needless to say that was a traumatic experience.

  • I then became quite skilled at negotiating contracts between world class retail/wholesalers and operators in the travel and tourism industry.

  • During the pandemic I worked at the Amherst Survival Center organizing food distribution and seeing first hand the trauma that housing insecurity can bring to individuals and families. Such trauma can often result in an inability to believe in the possibility, or worthiness of owning your own home.

  • New England Sustainable Site Design and Development is my passion project to create homes that are safe shelters for people.

  • I want to partner to with likeminded companies and agencies, particularly those led and staffed by BIPOC folks and those formerly incarcerated.

  • People should be able to feel like Dorothy said in the Wizard of OZ ... "There's no place like home"

  • Hi, I'm Mike. I began my career as a young civil engineer helping to build infrastructure to create jobs. Now we have jobs but folks can't find a place to live.

  • New England Sustainable Site Design and Development is my passion project to create sustainable  homes that are healthy for people and the earth.

  • I needed to put my decades of experience as head of engineering and planning for multiple municipalities, DPW director, conversation commission chair, select board member, subdivision & RV park developer, concrete and site contractor to work for a greater good.

  • Design Concept - Low Impact Site Development and high quality, energy efficient CrossMod™ Housing to help drive down cost.

  • Permitting, permitting, permitting! ... No project's going anywhere without permitting and that's my nerdy superpower.

  • Consulting Services - Conceptual Planning & Project Feasibility, Design, Permitting & Entitlement and Construction Phase Project Management.

Conceptual Planning &
Project Feasibility

The main reason that projects get stuck in limbo is that not enough effort is made initially with regard to  considering all aspects of feasibility.

Design, Permitting
& Entitlement

Experience working with state and municipal agencies is essential. No project is going anywhere without regulatory approvals and financing.

Construction Phase Project Management

Coordinating construction contracts and schedules is complex and takes a degree of organizational skill far greater than most people think.
